FVM served as Owner’s Representative for the Sun Prairie Public Library’s Renovation and Expansion project. Our services included complete design/planning phase and construction administration phase management.
The project included a 30,000 SF addition to house the rapidly expanding youth services and teen program areas that opened to the public in Summer 2025, as well as an outdoor amphitheater. Additionally, the existing building received a multi-phased complete renovation to its existing 34,000 SF of adult collections areas, book store, staff administration areas, media center and community room. Site improvements included an expanded parking area, promenade style hardscapes and a tiered outdoor amphitheater space that offers seasonal concerts and performances for the community.
Unique features of the $26M project were a geothermal HVAC system, solar panels, LEED certification goal, and the community room doubling as an emergency resiliency center with full battery microgrid backup for the City of Sun Prairie operations.
