Waukesha, Wisconsin

The City of Waukesha, in collaboration with BWBR Architects, engaged FVM/Hunzinger for the process of evaluating (2) major alternatives for their City Hall: expand and renovate their existing facility or build a new facility. For the project, Hunzinger provided construction cost estimating and constructability reviews for multiple permutations of design and program solutions. At each critical progress design milestone, Hunzinger also provided Value Optimization assessments that take into consideration multiple immediate and long term economic factors for the systems under consideration. The decision was ultimately made by the City stakeholders to move forward with a new $20-million, 4-level, 60,000 SF modern facility that opened to the public in January 2021.
