GUIDING THE LIFECYCLE OF YOUR PROJECT

Milwaukee City Hall Foundation Restoration

City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works

Facility Value Management is functioning as Owner’s Representative and Design-Build Services advisor to the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works on the City Hall Foundation Restoration Project. The project is currently underway with phases 1 and 2 in construction. Phases 3 and 4 are currently in design. The scope of this project is to restore the foundation and related infrastructure for the iconic building including the wood piling system, hollow walk system, and water recharge system. Originally constructed the 1890’s, Milwaukee City Hall has continued to function in its original capacity as a municipal operations center for Milwaukee’s city offices. Milwaukee City Hall is on the National Historic Register and is LEED-Silver Certified under the rating system for Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance (LEED-EBOM). Planning for the project commenced in 2010 and the multi-phased implementation program is scheduled to be completed by 2021. Maintaining the ongoing operations of the facility is paramount, so many project trade work activities are performed during evenings and weekends.
